Thai Therapeutic Massage is both invigorating and relaxing, working along the body’s energy lines known as “Sen lines” to help improve flexibility, reduce tension, increase circulation, and promote overall wellness.

Thai massage is a traditional healing practice that originated in Thailand over 2,500 years ago. A traditional healing system designed to relieve stress, it has roots in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. Unlike traditional Western massage, it is typically performed on a mat on the floor, without oils, and the recipient remains fully clothed in comfortable attire. The techniques used include rhythmic pressing and stretching along energy lines known as ‘Sen lines’, assisted yoga-like postures and deep stretching. Thai massage therapists use their hands, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet, and perform passive joint mobilisation and compression.

The benefits of Thai massage include increased flexibility and range of motion, improved circulation and energy flow, reduction in both muscle tension and joint stiffness, and enhanced posture and body alignment, so it suits athletes and active individuals needing deep stretch and recovery. This form of massage also promotes deep relaxation and relief from stress, and is also ideal for those suffering from tight muscles and limited mobility or poor posture, as well as those seeking relaxation and preferring a clothed, oil-free massage experience.
